Fig: 1.1 Windows 7 Desktop - This
is one of the UK desktop background. Notice the new
Icon bar at the bottom left of the screen.
Fig: 1.2 Open windows can now be
'snapped' together so you can view both windows at
the same time.
Fig: 1.3 By Clicking on the box
at the bottom right of the screen you can make any
windows go transparent so you can see what is
underneath them. The faded outline reveals where an
open window lies.

Fig: 1.5 Windows Paint has had a
slight makeover and now sports the 'ribbon' toolbar
at the top of the window.
Fig: 1.6 Wordpad has also had a
makeover and, like paint, supports the ribbon
toolbar.

cleaner look to it.

tuner allows you to set your monitor to optimise the
clear type font.

effectively gone; now you can place gadgets anywhere
you like on the screen.

Printers window gives you a visual interpretation of
what devices etc you have on your system.

Windows.
